Home is the workbench. It is the first item in the left sidebar, above the named groups, and it is where a shift starts.
Start a job from the top of the page
When you can create tickets, Home offers a new repair ticket. When you can create customers, it offers a new customer. Charts are not on this page. The shop counts live on Dashboard.
What needs attention today
The counts are pending tickets, tickets past their due date, tickets opened today, and today’s appointments when you can see appointments. Pending tickets open the Pending tickets report. Under the counts, Home lists the tickets that are still open and the parts that are low on stock.
Command+K, or Ctrl+K, searches the shop: a ticket by its number, or a customer by name, phone, or email.
