Repair tickets
Repair tickets is under Operations. The ticket is the job: one number for that shop, from the counter until pickup.
What the ticket holds
The ticket records the customer, the equipment type, brand and model, a serial number when you have one, accessories left with the device, the fault, and notes. Technician notes stay in the shop. A separate note is the one written for the customer. Parts used, appointments, status history, and attachments sit on the ticket. Attachment groups are intake, damage or condition, quote, and other.
The number is assigned for that shop when the ticket is created. Later edits do not change it. The list can be exported to Excel or CSV, and a ticket can be printed as a PDF.
Status, quote, and the customer link
Each status change is a line in the history, with the time and who recorded it. Marking the status as quote sent requires an amount. That latest amount is the quote. The ticket can download a quote PDF.
The customer does not sign in. Portal link copies a signed address that opens only this ticket. It lasts 7 days unless that period is changed for the installation. The page shows the shop, the ticket, the status, the equipment, accessories, parts, and the quote. Technician notes are not on it. The customer can approve only while the status is quote sent. People in that shop then get a notice in the app. If email delivery is switched on, the shop notification address can receive the same news.
If the customer has a phone number, the ticket can open WhatsApp with a short message so you can paste the link into a chat. Email to the customer uses the shop’s templates, and it is sent only when email delivery is switched on. From the ticket you can also create the workshop receipt for the job. A ticket keeps one receipt that is not cancelled.
